Digital Trust Award of the Year (Team or Individual) – Judging Criteria

The Digital Trust Award of the Year recognises the most impactful, forward-thinking initiative that has significantly contributed to building digital trust, empowering Sri Lankan IT professionals, and advancing the digital ecosystem. The evaluation will be guided by the following structured criteria:

1. Digital Trust Excellence Strategic Initiative

  • Demonstrates a transformative initiative that directly enhances digital trust within an organisation, sector, or community.
  • Targets Sri Lankan IT professionals through clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Drives innovation or digital culture in the context of trust, transparency, and accountability.

2. Standards, Frameworks & Compliance

  • Implements or influences adoption of recognised standards, compliance frameworks, or governance protocols.
  • Demonstrates adherence to regulatory and ethical requirements related to digital operations and data privacy.
  • Supports development or dissemination of policies promoting secure and trustworthy digital practices.

3. Strategic & Technical Impact

  • Delivers measurable technical or operational improvements with strategic alignment to organisational or societal needs.
  • Introduces new tools, platforms, or solutions that address cybersecurity, data protection, or digital ethics.
  • Drives strategic transformation that reinforces digital trust infrastructure.

4. Leadership, Mentorship & Advocacy

  • Exemplifies strong leadership in championing digital trust both within and outside the organisation.
  • Actively mentors or supports the professional growth of Sri Lankan IT professionals in areas related to trust, security, or compliance.
  • Leads advocacy efforts for responsible technology use and inclusive digital development.

5. Recognition, Influence & Thought Leadership

  • Earns endorsements, awards, or formal recognitions from credible industry, government, or academic bodies.
  • Influences public discourse, industry standards, or policy through publications, presentations, or media.
  • Demonstrates thought leadership in the digital trust domain through active knowledge sharing or innovation.

6. Social and Community Contribution

  • Contributes to societal well-being by improving digital literacy, access, or inclusion.
  • Supports underserved or vulnerable groups through trust-building initiatives in digital spaces.
  • Engages with community stakeholders to promote ethical and transparent digital engagement.

Note: Nominated initiatives must provide verifiable evidence to support their claims. The judging panel, comprising leading professionals from the IT, academic, and business sectors, will apply these criteria rigorously to identify the initiative that best embodies the spirit of digital trust and excellence.
