7th Annual General Meeting of Srilanka Professionals Association, UAE
The Sri Lanka Information Technology Professionals Association – UAE (SLITPA-UAE) proudly participated in the 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sri Lanka Professionals Association (SLPA), marking another significant milestone in strengthening collaboration among Sri Lankan professionals across diverse sectors. A key highlight of the AGM was the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SLITPA-UAE and SLPA. The agreement was signed in the presence of distinguished members and stakeholders, with SLPA President Mr. Duminda Dissanayaka representing SLPA and SLITPA-UAE President Mr. Thishan Gunasekara representing the SLITPA-UAE. The MoU establishes a strategic framework for cooperation between the two organizations, focusing on professional development, knowledge sharing, business networking, leadership development, community engagement, and the promotion of opportunities for Sri Lankan professionals both locally and internationally. This partnership reflects the shared commitment of SLITPA-UAE and SLPA to foster innovation, encourage professional excellence, and create meaningful platforms for collaboration among Sri Lankan professionals. Through joint initiatives, events, training programs, and business forums, both organizations aim to strengthen professional ties and contribute to the advancement of the Sri Lankan professional community.
HAPPY VESAK FOR ALL
In celebration of the sacred Vesak season, SLITPA-UAE joined hands with fellow Sri Lankan community organizations to promote the values of compassion, generosity, unity, and service inspired by the teachings of Lord Buddha. SLITPA-UAE members actively supported and participated in Vesak related community initiatives, strengthening ties within the Sri Lankan expatriate community while contributing to charitable and cultural activities. Through collaboration with SLPA-UAE and other community partners, SLITPA-UAE reinforced its commitment to social responsibility, community engagement, and preserving Sri Lankan cultural and religious traditions in the UAE.
