Data Science is an emerging interdisciplinary field of Statistics and Computer Science for which the foundational topics are Data Manipulation, Data Analysis with Statistics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, High-Performance Computing, Data Communication with Information Visualization, and Data at Scale (Working with Big Data). Data Science is also an integral part of research in many fields, such as machine translation, speech recognition, robotics, search engines, digital economy in addition to business intelligence, operational intelligence, biological sciences, medical informatics, health care, social sciences, and the humanities.
Sri Lankan IT professionals Association UAE (SLITPA) in collaboration with the Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS) launch the Master of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence degree (MSc Data Science and AI) MSc program in UAE on Friday 3rd September 2021 with the participation of Members of the SLITPA UAE.
The professional panel of this program and the Director of the PGIS Prof. Pitawala address the gathering by explaining the Application Procedure, Course Content an and Rules and Regulations. SLITPA President Chamil Mendis and Executive Committee Member Kuminda Liyanage Emphasis that SLITPA will be a facilitator and they will provide all the required support to the PGIS in order to conduct this MSs program in UAE for the first time. This will be a great opportunity for the members of the SLITPA to obtain a MSc in one of the demanding field of IT.
